No Violence, No Walls

Migration from Northern Triangle countries: Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador is not a new issue, what is new, is the current levels of rampant violence and in recent years, the increase of life threatening situations people experience in these countries such as death threats, daily extortion, sexual violence and attempts at forced recruitment from powerful transnational gangs known as maras.

The testimonies gathered show that LGBTI people have higher risk along the migration route than other people because of their sexual orientation and gender identity, which exposes them to discrimination of migration officials, security forces, other authorities, as well as people of host societies
